Beijing: China emphasized Wednesday that the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of all nations must be respected, condemning attacks on civilians and non-military targets.

During a press conference in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that China does not support the recent attacks targeting countries in the Gulf region.

Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in a phone call with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, highlighted the rapidly escalating situation in the Gulf and stressed that Bahrain’s security is under threat. Wang expressed Beijing’s deep concern and urged Bahrain to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions within the kingdom.

Spokesperson Guo added that the top priority is to halt all military operations and prevent further escalation. He called for a return to dialogue and negotiations to restore peace and stability in the Middle East.
