Lately, Bahrain has been experiencing cloudy skies and intermittent rain. Showers have appeared across various parts of the Kingdom, sometimes accompanied by brief periods of heavier rain. In some places, flashes of lightning have lit up the horizon, reminding people that spring weather can be unpredictable.

With the ongoing political tension, Shamal winds blowing dust, and pollution rising, many residents can’t help but wonder if something more unusual is happening. Humidity shifts and haze add to the feeling that the skies have changed overnight.

However, meteorologists say part of this is simply seasonal change, as Bahrain moves from winter into spring. Daytime highs hover around 24–25°C, with cooler nights near 17–18°C.

Experts, however, reassure that these variations are temporary. Temperatures are expected to rise steadily over the coming days, bringing a gradual return to warmer, sunnier spring conditions. For now, Bahrainis can watch the clouds gather, feel the cool breeze, and experience the fleeting showers - a reminder that even familiar skies can surprise, but that calm weather is on its way. Residents are advised to follow official updates and take care during periods of rain or lightning.
