Bahrain Condemns Iranian Aggression at UN

UN Security Council Urges Iran to Stop Attacks on Gulf States

The United Nations Security Council passed a resolution on Wednesday demanding that Iran immediately halt its attacks on Gulf states, calling the strikes a breach of international law and a “serious threat to international peace and security.”

The resolution was approved by 13 member states, with two abstentions, and specifically calls for the cessation of all Iranian attacks against Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.

Addressing the Security Council, Bahrain’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Jamal Fares Al-Ruwaie, expressed deep concern over the recent escalation. He stated that the attacks on Bahrain and other Gulf countries represent a violation of sovereignty, a disregard for good neighborly relations, and a clear breach of international law.

“The Kingdom of Bahrain urges the Islamic Republic of Iran to immediately stop these hostilities and cease using proxies and armed militias in the region,” Ambassador Al-Ruwaie said. “Continued acts of aggression risk escalating tensions further, threatening regional security and stability.”
