The Public Prosecution has submitted its arguments in several cases before the Criminal Court concerning individuals accused of promoting, justifying, and encouraging acts of terrorism within the Kingdom of Bahrain. These cases relate specifically to the heinous terrorist attack carried out by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as the possession of materials that promote or justify such acts. The accused also took photographs of locations in violation of legal restrictions.

During its proceedings, the Public Prosecution presented evidence confirming the accused’s involvement in these crimes and requested the imposition of the maximum penalties without leniency. The prosecution highlighted that these acts constitute a betrayal of the country that hosted the individuals, whose citizenship they held and whose resources they benefited from. Such actions, it stated, terrorize citizens and residents, disrupt public security, incite fear, and destabilize society.

The Public Prosecution affirmed its commitment to addressing any acts that violate the law or threaten national security, particularly given the current challenges stemming from the Iranian aggression. It emphasized that the rule of law is essential to safeguarding society, protecting rights and freedoms, and maintaining public order, and it will continue to fulfill its duties in accordance with the legal procedures to ensure justice is served.
