Life in Sitra appears normal in the streets, with residents going about their daily routines, shops open, and businesses operating as usual. This calm comes despite the drone attack on March 9, which left 32 citizens injured, including children, and caused material damage to homes and vehicles.

Two days after the attack, the community is continuing its activities with resilience. Ma’atams and Majalis remain active, welcoming worshippers for prayers and religious gatherings during the holy month of Ramadan. Members of the Shia community are also attending ma’atams to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali, a practice of deep spiritual significance.

The observance of the nights of Laylat Al-Qadr continues as well. Despite rainfall and difficult circumstances, ma’atams remain highly crowded, showing the community’s steadfast faith and dedication.

Shops across Sitra also remain open, including restaurants and shops. However, opening hours have slightly changed due to Ramadan, as some shops close after 1 p.m. and reopen around 8 p.m. in the evening. Even in Mahazza, one of the areas affected by the attack, shops are still operating. Vendors continue their work as usual, including the local fish seller who remains at his stall serving customers, reflecting the determination of residents to carry on with their daily lives despite the recent events.
