The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) welcomed an official delegation from Oman’s Foreign Ministry, led by Eng. Khalid bin Ghulam Al Zadjali, Head of the Digital Transformation Office. The visit aimed to explore Bahrain’s forward-thinking digital transformation journey and foster GCC-wide knowledge exchange.
Mr. Ali Abdulaziz Janahi, Deputy Chief Executive of Electronic Transformation at the iGA, received the delegation and highlighted the significance of such visits in reinforcing the historic and strategic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman. He lauded Oman’s own strides in the digital space and emphasized the mutual benefits of sharing experiences and successful strategies.
“Bahrain’s digital transformation is built on innovation, integration, and inclusivity,” Mr. Janahi noted, pointing to the Kingdom’s efforts to develop a sustainable and citizen-centric digital ecosystem.
During the high-level meeting, the iGA presented Bahrain’s national digital frameworks and showcased a range of cutting-edge government eServices. These included the ambitious national digital transformation plan, the mobile apps integration strategy, and enhancements to the National Portal, bahrain.bh. The delegation also received live demonstrations of popular digital platforms such as:
MyGov – A unified government services platform
Al-Tajer – Tailored for business owners and entrepreneurs
Tawasul – A direct citizen engagement app with government entities
Mawaeed – The streamlined national appointment system
The visit also spotlighted Bahrain’s Global Digital Twinning Initiative, launched in 2024, which positions the Kingdom as a regional leader in global eGovernment cooperation. The initiative aims to accelerate international collaboration by sharing Bahrain’s successful digital practices with counterparts around the world.
This exchange marks yet another step in the GCC’s collective march toward a future defined by smart governance, regional synergy, and digital empowerment.
