Bahrain and UAE Youth Ministers Strengthen Bilateral Ties in Strategic Meeting

In a move underscoring the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Bahrain’s Minister of Youth Affairs, held a pivotal bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Engineer Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, UAE Minister of State for Youth. The high-level discussion, held during her visit to the UAE, focused on enhancing youth cooperation and driving forward joint efforts to empower young people in both nations.

Opening the meeting, Minister Tawfiqi emphasized the strength of the historical relationship between Bahrain and the UAE—built on shared values, mutual respect, and a common destiny. She lauded the continued support and visionary leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in reinforcing these bonds.

"The enduring brotherhood between our countries serves as a solid foundation for collaborative success," she stated, highlighting youth empowerment as a central pillar in the partnership between Bahrain and the UAE. "By building on our achievements, we can unlock greater opportunities for our young people and ensure they are equipped to shape a prosperous future."

Minister Tawfiqi stressed the mutual commitment to sharing expertise in youth development and broadening their roles in sustainable development. She noted that the alignment in national visions—especially the focus on investing in youth capabilities and fostering innovation—positions both nations to elevate young leaders and entrepreneurs.

During the meeting, Minister Tawfiqi showcased Bahrain’s leading youth initiatives and programs, underscoring the kingdom’s dedication to integrating youth into its national development journey.

For his part, Minister Al Neyadi presented key priorities of the UAE Federal Youth Authority, outlining the country’s ambitious youth agenda and strategies to empower young citizens across various sectors.

He welcomed Minister Tawfiqi’s visit, expressing appreciation for the collaboration and reaffirming the depth of the strategic partnership. "The UAE and Bahrain share not just strong historical ties but a united vision for empowering youth to be pioneers of change and innovation," he said. "Through expanded cooperation and aligned policies, we can jointly create dynamic platforms for youth to thrive."
