The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) received His Excellency Mohammed Hasan Sarower, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Ambassador met with Saud Abdulla Yateem, Director of Protection and Grievances Centre Directorate at LMRA. The Ambassador was briefed on Bahrain’s efforts to develop the labour market and enhance the work environment, as well as national initiatives to combat trafficking in persons, particularly the role of the Protection and Grievances Centre, which provides preventive, advisory and legal services, along with shelter for victims and potential victims of trafficking.
The meeting also reviewed awareness programmes and initiatives implemented by the Authority in cooperation with international organisations and diplomatic missions, highlighting their role in supporting anti-trafficking efforts and raising awareness among labour stakeholders about their rights and responsibilities.
