Kyiv : Ukrainian authorities have released CCTV footage of the parcel bomb attack in Monaco that injured businessman Vadym Yermolaiev, his partner, and their 13year-old son, saying the video was recovered from evidence the suspects had tried to destroy.

The footage shows a person leaving a bag at the entrance of the family's luxury apartment building. Moments later, Yermolaiev, his partner and their son approach the bag before it explodes in the lobby.

Prosecutors said the surveillance camera had been installed by the suspects to confirm the attack was successfully carried out. The bomb was detonated remotely on June 29.

Investigators have accused two arrested men, a serving Ukrainian military intelligence officer and a former police officer of masterminding the attack and recruiting 39 year old Anastasiia Berezovska to plant the bomb. Berezovska was later shot dead near Kyiv.

The bombing shocked Monaco, where Prince Albert II described the attack as a ‘heinous crime’. Yermolaiev, a Ukrainian-born businessman who holds Cypriot citizenship, and his family were hospitalised with injuries of varying severity.
