US Hits Iranian Radar Sites After Drone Launch

Washington DC: The United States struck Iranian radar and surveillance sites near the Strait of Hormuz after intercepting four drones that Washington said were launched toward regional maritime traffic.

US forces targeted facilities in Goruk and on Qeshm Island, marking the latest escalation in the conflict despite ongoing efforts to secure a peace deal.

The incident comes as negotiations remain stalled, with Iran seeking sanctions relief, access to frozen assets and concessions related to the Strait of Hormuz. President Donald Trump said Iran's military capabilities have been weakened but warned it still retains part of its missile and drone arsenal.

The conflict continues to disrupt shipping, push up energy prices and fuel instability across the region.
