Arab Nations Condemn Drone Attack on Gulf Power Facility

Abu Dhabi: A coalition of Middle Eastern nations has strongly condemned a terrorist drone attack targeting an auxiliary asset at the United Arab Emirates’ Barakah Nuclear Power Plant.

While two of the uncrewed aerial vehicles were successfully destroyed, a third struck an electricity generator located outside the inner perimeter of the facility.

Authorities reported no casualties, and critical monitoring systems indicated absolutely no impact on regional radiological safety levels. An official military investigation is currently underway to determine the exact source of the inbound threat.

Foreign ministries from the supporting Arab states issued strong statements of support, commending the swift response of the domestic defence forces.

Kuwait & Jordan described the attack as a flagrant breach of UAE sovereignty, the UN Charter, and international humanitarian law, highlighting the severe environmental and civilian risks associated with targeting peaceful nuclear energy facilities.

Saudi Arabia & Egypt expressed their condemnation in the strongest terms, stating their categorical rejection of blatant operations that threaten the wider security and stability of the region.

Bahrain cited a direct violation of UN Security Council resolutions and called for immediate, enhanced international cooperation to safeguard vital civilian infrastructure against ongoing aggression.

The incident has underscored growing geopolitical tensions surrounding critical energy assets in the Gulf.

UAE defence officials stated that the military remains fully prepared to firmly confront any attempts to undermine national sovereignty, while allied Arab states have renewed their calls for a coordinated global stance to protect peaceful infrastructure from unconventional aerial threats.
