BCFC Appoints Shireen Zulaikh as Chief Internal Audit Officer
As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering Bahraini national talent and advancing Bahrainisation in leadership roles, Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company (BCFC) announces the appointment of Ms. Shireen Zulaikh as Chief Internal Audit Officer, in a move that strengthens the company's governance and internal control framework and reaffirms its commitment to the highest international standards and best practices in the audit field.
Ms. Shireen Zulaikh brings over sixteen years of professional experience, more than twelve of which are in internal audit, in addition to risk management and compliance, gained with leading global audit firms and prominent financial institutions, during which she held a number of senior leadership positions. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), with a strong track record in developing the internal audit function, adopting modern technology and data analytics, and building high-performing teams.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Abdulla Abdulrazaq Bukhowa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company, welcomed Ms. Shireen Zulaikh to the executive management team, noting that her extensive experience in internal audit and governance will help strengthen the company's internal control environment and support its ongoing efforts to uphold the highest standards of corporate governance.
