Day of Democracy
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a congratulatory cable from Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh on the occasion of the International Day of Democracy.
Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening its democratic progress and the role of constitutional institutions, while highlighting the importance of freedom, justice, the rule of law and human rights.
He also praised the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to advance cooperation between the legislative and executive branches.
Coast Guard Joint Inspection
The Coast Guard conducted a joint inspection campaign in several coastal areas of Muharraq Governorate to enhance maritime safety, address violations and protect Bahrain’s marine resources.
Trafficking Awareness Campaigns
The Anti-Human Trafficking and Public Morals Protection Directorate has conducted awareness campaigns across Bahrain to highlight the risks of human trafficking and encourage the public to report suspected cases.
The campaigns included distributing awareness materials in several languages and providing information on reporting suspected trafficking cases before or after a crime occurs.
Labour Equality Committee Meets
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority’s Equal Opportunities Committee held its regular meeting, chaired by Nora Isa Mubarak, Vice President of Legal Compliance and Protection and chairwoman of the committee.
The committee discussed initiatives to strengthen equal opportunities, develop the institutional work environment and support employees and national competencies. It also highlighted the progress of Bahraini women and the contributions of the Supreme Council for Women over its 25-year history.
