Bali: Indonesian authorities are looking into the deaths of an Australian man and his two young children in Bali, suspecting it possibly was a murder-suicide. On Sunday, the bodies of 56-year -old Damien John Shaw and his two children, a six years old son and a four years old daughter was found inside their bungalow in Kuta.

Police suspected the children died from violence, while Shaw was thought to have committed suicide. The alarm was triggered after Shaw’s wife, in Jakarta, grew worried when she heard her child crying during a phone call and subsequently lost touch with the family.

‘Based on the analysis of available CCTV footage and the statement from the victim's wife, it is suspected that the husband murdered his two children and then took his own life,’ Denpasar police chief Leonardo David Simatupang told reporters.

According to the reports, the man’s Indonesian wife was in Jakarta visiting her parents at the time of the incident. Leonardo stated that authorities would not press charges.
