Sanaa: Saudi Arabia has warned that it will take strong action against Yemen’s Houthi rebels after a series of missile and drone attacks wounded 13 people in the country’s south.

The Saudi-led coalition said the attacks targeted areas including Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif. Saudi authorities said the strikes caused injuries and damage, while the Houthis claimed they had launched a large-scale attack on the King Khalid airbase in Khamis Mushait.

Saudi Arabia said it would take all necessary measures to protect its territory and deter further attacks. The warning comes as fighting between the Houthis and Saudi-backed Yemeni forces has intensified.

The Houthis have also expanded their presence along Yemen’s Red Sea coast and around the Bab al-Mandab Strait, an important shipping route. The group has targeted Saudi energy facilities and ships, adding to concerns over oil supplies and regional security.

Saudi forces have carried out air strikes against Houthi positions in Yemen in response to the attacks. The renewed fighting has added to tensions across the region as wider efforts to ease the conflict remain uncertain.
