Data and AI Cooperation Gets Boost
The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) and the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in data and artificial intelligence.
The MoU was signed by iGA Chief Executive Mohammed Ali Al Qaed and SDAIA President Dr Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi.
The agreement covers cooperation in advanced technologies, data governance, AI infrastructure and Large Language Models (LLMs), as well as joint research projects and the development and testing of innovative technology prototypes.
It also includes specialised training programmes and the exchange of best practices in national data governance, aiming to develop specialised skills and support a sustainable data and AI ecosystem.
Both sides said the agreement reflects the strong relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and will support research, innovation, responsible AI adoption and development.
