Syrian delegation explores Qatar’s policing and security systems

Security and specialized departments at the Ministry of Interior in Qatar have received a delegation from the Ministry of Interior of Syria as part of efforts to strengthen security cooperation and exchange expertise between the two countries, officials said.
The visit aimed to familiarise the Syrian delegation with Qatar’s advanced practices in security and public service operations, according to the Qatari Ministry of Interior.
During the tour, the delegation visited several key departments, including the Criminal Evidence and Information Department, the Criminal Investigation Department, the Airport Security Department, and the Economic and Cyber Crimes Prevention Department.
Officials briefed the visiting delegation on operational procedures, service delivery mechanisms, and the latest technologies and systems used to enhance policing efficiency and improve investigative capabilities.
The visit reflects what both sides described as a shared commitment to expanding security cooperation and promoting the exchange of expertise and best practices across specialised technical and security fields.
