The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strongly condemned “blatant Iranian attacks” targeting the United Arab Emirates, calling them a serious escalation that threatens regional security and stability.

GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said the council “strongly condemns and denounces” the incidents, describing them as a clear violation of a member state's sovereignty and a dangerous escalation in the region.

He said the targeting of the UAE was “unacceptable under all standards” and reflected a pattern of escalation that disregards international law and the principles of good neighbourly relations.

Albudaiwi urged the international community to assume its responsibilities to halt what he called repeated Iranian attacks and to take urgent action to stop “irresponsible behaviour” that undermines regional and international peace and security.

The GCC did not provide further details on the alleged incidents.
