The UAE has announced a major initiative to transform all federal government employees into artificial intelligence specialists through continuous, specialised training programmes.

Officials said the goal is to ensure the workforce is fully equipped to adapt to rapid technological change and become among the world’s leading experts in government-driven AI transformation.

The government expressed pride in its national workforce, stressing that employees will be trained, developed, and upskilled to enhance their capabilities and support one of the largest governmental transformation projects over the next two years.

The initiative will be overseen by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in line with the UAE leadership’s vision. A dedicated working team, chaired by Mohammed Al Gergawi, has been formed to monitor and implement the programme under his supervision.

Officials noted that while the world is changing rapidly and technologies are advancing at high speed, the core focus remains human development—creating an environment that enables people to realise their potential and improve their quality of life.

The move marks what officials described as a new phase of government work, aimed at making public services faster, more efficient, and more impactful.
