HM Sultan of Oman, HH Amir of Qatar Hold Talks on Regional Stability and Cooperation

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman, met with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, at Al Barakah Palace in Muscat.

The meeting focused on the latest regional developments and their implications for security and stability across the region.

According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), both leaders emphasised the importance of addressing crises at their root causes and reaching comprehensive solutions. They also stressed the need to intensify international efforts to safeguard freedom of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and ensure the uninterrupted flow of global trade and energy supplies.

The discussions also covered ways to strengthen the close ties between Oman and Qatar, with both sides exploring opportunities to expand cooperation across various sectors in a manner that serves the interests of their peoples.

In addition, the two leaders exchanged views on efforts to promote peace and stability at both regional and international levels.

His Majesty the Sultan and His Highness the Amir also held a private session to further review bilateral relations and explore avenues for enhanced coordination and cooperation.
