HH Amir of Qatar, Pakistani PM Discuss Regional Developments

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the Qatar, and Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Pakistan, discussed the latest regional and international developments, particularly in the Middle East, during a meeting in Doha.

During the talks, His Highness the Amir expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s role in supporting efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote diplomatic dialogue in the interest of regional peace and security.

For his part, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of attacks targeting Qatar and other countries in the region, affirming full solidarity with Qatar and support for measures aimed at safeguarding its sovereignty, security, and stability.

Both sides emphasised the importance of advancing de-escalation efforts and strengthening international coordination to ensure regional stability, including maintaining the smooth flow of energy supplies through key maritime routes.

They also reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors, with the aim of strengthening their partnership.

In a separate bilateral meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation, particularly in light of ongoing regional developments.
