New Millennium School, Bahrain, witnessed a historic and proud moment as it hosted the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup Trophy on 11th January,2026 as part of the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour , a global initiative that brings the spirit and excitement of international cricket closer to fans across the world. The prestigious trophy visit turned the school campus into a hub of enthusiasm, inspiration, and sporting pride.

The event was graced by esteemed officials from the ICC, Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF), members of the school management, faculty, and students, who gathered to witness the iconic symbol of cricketing excellence. The occasion highlighted the values of teamwork, resilience, discipline, and unity—principles that align closely with the school’s educational philosophy.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr Arun Kuumar Sharma expressed his pride and gratitude, stating that hosting the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup Trophy was a moment of immense honour for the school . He further added that the school has had the glory of  five of its students representing  the Bahrain National Cricket Team and that such initiatives motivate the school  to further strengthen its sports programmes, thus aiming  to see many more players from the  school representing Bahrain at international platforms in the future.”

Chairman Dr Ravi Pillai and Managing Director Mrs Geetha Pillai  expressed their delight on the occasion and shared that the trophy tour was not just about the game, but about inspiring young minds to pursue passion, dedication, and excellence in every field of life.
