New Horizon School Hosts Children's Road Safety Initiative

The New Horizon School welcomed representatives from the Bahrain Public Transport Company (BPTC) for a comprehensive Children's Road Safety Initiative designed to foster greater awareness among students regarding safe and responsible road behavior.

The interactive program introduced young learners to fundamental road safety practices, placing special emphasis on pedestrian safety, the proper use of designated footpaths, understanding road signals, and executing safe crossing techniques. BPTC representatives highlighted the vital importance of strictly adhering to traffic signals and utilizing pedestrian paths to prevent accidents. To ensure the session was both engaging and accessible, the visiting team utilized visual illustrations and practical demonstrations of various road signs and traffic scenarios. This hands-on approach enabled students to recognize traffic symbols and understand the critical safety principles behind them.

The initiative further encouraged students to remain alert to their surroundings and make responsible decisions when navigating public roads. By integrating active learning with safety education, the program successfully reinforced key habits in an age-appropriate and memorable manner.
