Apple is reportedly preparing to launch its first foldable iPhone next year, and new details about its screen sizes have surfaced. According to a report by market research firm TrendForce, the upcoming "iPhone Fold" is expected to feature a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.8-inch inner foldable screen.
These display dimensions match earlier leaks from a Chinese tipster and suggest that Apple’s foldable phone will be slightly smaller than Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 7.
While TrendForce didn’t disclose further display specifications, it did mention that Apple is working on deep iOS optimisation to support foldable use cases—hinting at software tailored specifically for the new form factor.
Leaks over recent months have also hinted at Apple’s cautious but focused approach to foldables, with an emphasis on durability, user experience, and seamless integration with the iOS ecosystem.
