Aston Martin unveils virtual Dreadnought SUV for Call of Duty

Digital-only military SUV debuts in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, blending luxury design with combat-ready performance

Aston Martin has entered the gaming world with the unveiling of Dreadnought, a digital-only military-inspired SUV created exclusively for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 in collaboration with game developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision.

Designed exclusively for the latest installment of the popular first-person shooter franchise, Dreadnought combines Aston Martin's signature luxury styling with combat-ready technology to deliver an immersive in-game driving experience across the game's most demanding environments.

The virtual SUV features all-wheel drive, military-grade armour, advanced combat intelligence systems and a roaring V12 engine sound, while retaining Aston Martin's hallmark design elements, including carbon fibre construction, Oxford Tan leather interior accents and the brand's iconic Chiltern Green paint finish.

Aston Martin said the project allowed its designers to create a vehicle unconstrained by real-world engineering limits while remaining grounded in the physics and gameplay of the Modern Warfare universe. The result is a tactical SUV that balances supercar-inspired performance with battlefield capability.

Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman described Dreadnought as "unmistakably an Aston Martin" that pushes the brand's design philosophy beyond conventional limits. He said the team imagined the vehicle operating in real-world locations before adapting it for the game's virtual environments, helping create an authentic driving experience for players.

The vehicle's name references both its meaning of "fear nothing" and the legendary British battleship HMS Dreadnought, reflecting its emphasis on strength and innovation. It also incorporates unique military-inspired features such as reserve fuel tanks and dedicated weapons storage.

Infinity Ward Co-Studio Head Jack O'Hara said the collaboration focused on ensuring every aspect of the vehicle—from animation and geometry to physics and handling—reflected Aston Martin's premium design while delivering the aggressive performance expected in Modern Warfare 4.

Aston Martin's Director of Brand Diversification, Stefano Saporetti, said the partnership forms part of the company's strategy to reach a younger global audience through digital experiences, introducing the luxury marque to a new generation of gamers.

Players will be able to find and drive the Dreadnought at key locations in both the DMZ and Call of Duty: Warzone game modes when the title launches.

The virtual SUV made its global debut at Fanatics Fest in New York, where visitors can also view a full-scale physical model of the vehicle.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be released worldwide on October 23, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
