Qatar Airways Expands Network to 170+ Destinations

Qatar Airways will expand its global network to more than 170 destinations during the 2026-2027 winter season, with increased frequencies and resumed services across key international markets.

The airline said its winter schedule will include more than 186 weekly flights across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East, offering passengers greater travel options through its hub at Hamad International Airport.

The airline will resume daily flights to Zanzibar, Tanzania, from October 25, 2026, strengthening connectivity to the African tourism and business market.

Qatar Airways will also increase services to Seychelles from four to seven weekly flights starting March 1, 2027.

In South Africa, flights to Johannesburg will increase to 18 per week from December 2, 2026, up from the current 14 weekly services.

In North America, the airline will increase flights to Montréal, Canada, from five to seven per week starting October 25, 2026. The change represents a 40 per cent increase in seat capacity and is aimed at meeting growing demand from the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East.

The Asia Pacific region will also see several frequency increases and route resumptions during the winter season, particularly supporting travel between the region and Europe.

Qatar Airways will resume services to Canberra, Australia, via Melbourne, from December 9, 2026, further expanding its presence in the Asia Pacific market.

Alongside the network expansion, Qatar Airways is accelerating the rollout of Starlink connectivity across its fleet. The airline said up to 340 Starlink-enabled flights will operate daily, with more than 150 widebody aircraft equipped with the service.

The 2026-2027 winter schedule reflects strong demand across the airline’s network and is designed to provide passengers with increased connectivity across six continents.
