This year, Hilton Bahrain has elevated Ramadan nights with a breathtaking dome located adjacent to the hotel. The elegant arches and intricate arabesque designs at the entrance offer a glimpse of what awaits inside—a mesmerizing blend of tradition and luxury. After a warm welcome from the greeters, I took my seat, surrounded by a dimly lit ambiance where starry night lights twinkled across the dome. The soft glow, combined with live entertainment, created the perfect setting to embrace the spirit of Ramadan, a time when families and friends gather to break their fast.

Beyond the enchanting atmosphere, Hilton Bahrain continues to make a meaningful impact through the Hilton Green Ramadan initiative. The hotel collaborates with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) West Asia, Winnow, and Goumbook to implement sustainable food management. By utilizing the Winnow System for food waste monitoring, they track data and develop strategies to minimize waste. This year, Hilton Bahrain is strengthening its commitment by working with Bahrain Food Bank and Peninsula Farms to redistribute surplus food to those in need. Additionally, the hotel partners with a local composting company to transform unavoidable food waste into nutrient-rich compost for local agriculture. Prioritizing local sourcing, Hilton Bahrain works with Bahraini farmers and fishermen to bring fresh, seasonal ingredients to its Iftar and Ghabga buffets, reducing its carbon footprint. With sustainability at its core, Hilton Bahrain offers an exceptional dining experience that is both indulgent and responsible.

The lavish buffet showcases an enticing selection of international cuisines. Chefs prepare a variety of hot and cold appetizers, grilled kebabs, and traditional Bahraini dishes, alongside an array of Asian, Persian, and Middle Eastern specialties. The dessert station is nothing short of spectacular! You could create a wish list and find every item waiting for you at the lavish dessert counter. Whether you crave Arabic sweets, rasmalai, petite fours, ice cream, or rich chocolate desserts like brownies and cakes, Hilton Bahrain delivers an unforgettable sweet experience. You will also get the chance to try locally produced goat’s milk ice cream.

The cold mezze instantly caught my attention with its vibrant colors and elegant presentation. I indulged in the mutabal, savoring the perfect smoky flavor I had hoped for. The maki selection was equally delightful, with the crispy crab and tuna rolls standing out as my favorites. A live station served up piping hot pasta, but I found myself drawn to the lamb shanks and Persian chicken gravy. Both dishes packed incredible flavor, and I thoroughly enjoyed the juicy chicken drumsticks paired with a rich, tomato-infused gravy. The stir-fried noodles featured a colorful mix of crunchy vegetables that made every bite satisfying. At the carving station, the grilled hamour took center stage, but my attention went straight to the fish harra—one of my favorite Lebanese fish dishes. The tender, grilled hamour fillets absorbed the flavors from the medley of onions, tomatoes, coriander, and spices, creating an irresistible dish. The enticing aroma of biryani filled the air, and I savored every bite with a side of lemon pickle. If you love achaars, do not miss the in-house pickles. The chana dal, infused with aromatic spices, surprised me. I usually skip dal at buffets, but I was so glad I made an exception. The soft texture of the dal, perfectly balanced with a blend of spices, lifted my senses and filled me with pure joy.

To end the evening, I plated a variety of desserts. I chose mahalabia for its authentic Middle Eastern flavors. The creamy, gelatinous dessert carried the soothing essence of orange blossom. Continuing with fruity flavors, I selected a passion fruit mango cheesecake.
