Bahrain’s national football team coach, Dragan Talajić, has confirmed that he turned down an offer to return to his native Croatia, reaffirming his commitment to the country. “I will remain here as the coach of the Bahrain national team because I have great love for this country, its leadership, and its people,” he stated.
The highlight of Talajić’s tenure so far came in early 2025, when he led Bahrain to its second-ever Gulf Cup victory in Kuwait, a historic achievement that strengthened his bond with both the team and its supporters.
Amid the current regional situation, he also urged the public to prioritize their safety: “I call on the people of Bahrain to take care of themselves, and I hope that things will return to normal soon.”
By staying put, Talajić demonstrates his loyalty and dedication, reinforcing the strong connection he has built with Bahraini football even during challenging times.
