The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned an Iranian attack that targeted buildings in the Bahrain housing members of the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces who were participating in the Unified Maritime Operations Center under the joint military command of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a “blatant violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty and a serious threat to its security and stability.” The ministry added that the incident represents a dangerous escalation that undermines the security of GCC countries and the wider region.
The UAE also expressed its “full solidarity” with both Bahrain and Qatar, reaffirming its support for all measures aimed at protecting the security of GCC member states and their allied and friendly nations.
Furthermore, the UAE stressed the urgent need to halt escalation and called for adherence to the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter to preserve regional security and stability.
