Pandemic drove regional digital evolution amidst crisis, says Nass

Sameer Nass, the President of the Union of Arab Chambers and Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic crisis had significantly influenced the digital evolution of the region.

This impact was observed across both private sector entities and governmental institutions, highlighting the necessity for accelerated digital transformation initiatives.

He also pointed out that these initiatives were focused on facilitating access to essential services and transactions for individuals and organisations.

The remarks came during his address at the Annual Investment Forum held in Abu Dhabi, themed “Adapting to the Transformation of the Investment Landscape: Harnessing New Potentials to Promote Economic Development Globally.”

Representatives from various countries, prominent global investors, and leaders from both public and private sectors were part of the event, where discussions revolved around recent developments and strategies to foster s ustainable growth and innovative solutions for the global economy.

Emphasising the collaborative efforts between public and private sectors in the post-COVID era, Nass highlighted the importance of fostering innovation and tackling challenges.

He stressed the significance of amalgamating traditional and modern approaches in corporate management and marketing strategies.
