The announcements in the 2026-27 budget will establish a robust foundation for Kerala's long-term economic growth and foster an investment-friendly environment, stated Dr. Varghese Kurian, Chairman of VKL & Al Namal Group of Companies.
He noted that initiatives such as the ‘Invest Kerala Cell’, Special Investment Zones, aviation-logistics hubs, and MSME growth schemes offer significant promise for the industrial sector. Dr. Kurian, who also serves as a Director of INKEL, added that the budget effectively revitalizes public sector undertakings like INKEL and KINFRA, while actively encouraging investments in new Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model companies. Furthermore, schemes aimed at promoting NRI investments alongside support for small-scale entrepreneurs will drive the state's comprehensive development. He concluded by highlighting that the budget places equal emphasis on employment generation and industrial expansion.
