Coast Guard reaffirms safety of regional waters
Coast Guard Commander, Brigadier Ala’a Abdullah Siyadi highlighted on Sunday that the coast guard vessels monitor all coastlines of Bahrain, including East Hidd.
In response to local newspaper reports on November 4 that quoted MP Abdurhman Buali saying that most Iranian threats come through Hidd, The Commander said, “The east Hidd coastline is part of the maritime ban that was determined by a ministerial order 15 of 2012 and any activities in this zone is monitored and dealt with in accordance to the law by the coast guard and other security authorities.”
He said that the coast guard vessels are deployed round the clock in all areas, especially the northern maritime area, along with security patrols of other security department to tackle illegal activities such as trafficking or infiltration.
He call upon the public to report suspicious cases to the Operations Room 999, the hotline 80008008 or the Maritime operation Centre of the Coast Guard 17700000 for legal actions.
