Bahrain and Pakistan ties are bound to grow

Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal has affirmed the depth of the solid relations and cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan.

On a visit to Pakistan, along with a parliamentary delegation, Zainal said the bilateral ties continue to grow under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Arif Alvi, and thanks to the cooperation between the Bahrain government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and its Pakistani counterpart, led by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

She also lauded the Bahraini-Pakistani relations which are based on solid foundations of joint action, and shared keenness to open up wider horizons for the benefit of the two countries and their peoples.

The Speaker affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to continue fruitful bilateral cooperation in the economic and commercial sectors, through activating the existing joint agreements between them. She made the statements during the official Bahraini-Pakistani parliamentary meeting, held in Islamabad, in the presence of the kingdom’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed their keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation at regional and international parliamentary gatherings. National Assembly of Pakistan Speaker Asad Qaiser stressed the depth of relations and the distinguished cooperation between the two countries, noting that Bahrain is a strategic country for economic investment for Pakistan and the countries of the region.

He affirmed that relations between the countries are exemplary thanks to their common goals and joint efforts. He lauded the kingdom’s comprehensive development march, led by HM King Hamad, stressing the two countries’ leaderships’ keenness to bolster joint cooperation.

He underlined parliamentary support for bilateral investment and economic projects, as well as for coordinating stances at parliamentary gatherings. The two sides stressed the importance of taking advantage of exchanged visits to strengthen partnerships in various fields, especially the parliamentary one. The Representatives Council’s Speaker and her accompanying delegation attended part of a regular session held by the National Assembly of Pakistan.
