Future of Housing in Focus Today

New housing projects, financing opportunities and expanded options for citizens are set to take centre stage today as the second Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition 2026 opens at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Held under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the five-day event is organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank, in cooperation with the GCC General Secretariat. It forms part of the fourth GCC Housing Week, which runs until October 3.

The event is expected to feature the signing of agreements in the housing sector and the announcement of new housing projects and options for citizens. The accompanying exhibition will also offer visitors access to housing projects, locations, details and financing conditions, alongside exclusive offers from participating banks and developers.

The conference brings together officials and experts from Bahrain and GCC countries, as well as representatives from government institutions, financial institutions and private developers. Discussions will focus on the future of social housing, housing finance, private-sector participation, digital transformation, modern construction technologies and the development of integrated urban communities.

The five-day exhibition brings together housing authorities, banks, developers and home-service providers under one roof, with participating GCC countries also presenting their housing projects and experiences.

Bahrain will additionally host the 24th meeting of GCC Housing Ministers as part of the week’s programme.
