Virus cases continue rise with 672 new infections

The distressing rise in active coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Bahrain continued yesterday with the registration of 672 new infections, along with one death. The Ministry of Health said it conducted 12,337 tests, and the new active cases included 83 expatriate workers, 588 contacts of active cases, and one travel-related case.
That brought the total active cases to 5,428. One hundred of those are receiving treatment, with 29 in critical condition. There were also 245 additional recoveries yesterday. The single death was of a 75-year old male citizen. His passing brought the Kingdom’s virus-related casualties to 203. The total tested increased to 1,207,260.
