HM the King lauds Duty Force One personnel's bravery

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, yesterday paid a visit to General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), where he was welcomed by the BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi and a number of senior officers. HM the King was briefed by the Royal Guard Commander Brigadier-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Royal Guard Special Force Commander Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under whose command the BDF's "Duty Force-One" carried out its honourable duties in Yemen.

HM the King was detailed about the tasks accomplished by the BDF unit while participating, as part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition and along with the Yemeni National Army and the Popular Resistance forces, in liberating Marib and taking full control of the Bab Al-Mandab Strait. HM King lauded the outstanding command of Shaikh Nasser and Shaikh Khalid of the Duty Force-One, and their keenness to be with the Duty Force One officers at the frontlines, and praised the successes they had achieved and the sacrifices they had made during such a difficult mission. HM King Hamad added that Duty Force One members have performed their sacred duties to the fullest and with outstanding success, which, he asserted, reflects the BDF personnel's high competence, strong resolve and success in carrying out all the duties assigned to them, extending sincere appreciation to all BDF affiliates.
