Traffic and directional signs guiding motorists to Al Ramli will be installed across major roads in Bahrain following directives from His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister.
The move comes less than two weeks after Northern Municipal Council member Abdulla Abdulhameed Ashoor called for clearer signage to identify the housing area and improve access for residents and visitors.
His Excellency directed the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to coordinate with relevant authorities to place signs on main highways and internal roads leading to Al Ramli.
Mr Ashoor welcomed the swift response, thanking His Excellency for supporting requests raised by the municipal council and highlighted in the local press.
The issue was raised during a Northern Municipal Council session, where Mr Ashoor noted that Al Ramli, despite being inhabited for around five years, lacked clear road signs on several key highways.
He said routes including Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway, Shaikh Salman Highway, Shaikh Zayed Highway and Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway lacked signs directing motorists to the area.
The installation of the new signs is expected to improve access for residents, visitors, delivery services and motorists travelling from across Bahrain and neighbouring Saudi Arabia.
