Andoni Iraola has been appointed Liverpool head coach, with the club confirming his arrival yesterday following Arne Slot’s dismissal.
The 43-year-old Spaniard was swiftly confirmed as the Premier League side’s new manager after travelling to Liverpool from San Sebastián, where he completed the final stages of his move.
He has agreed a two-year deal at Anfield, with Liverpool moving quickly to secure their top target.
He leaves Bournemouth after a strong spell in charge. He guided them to a historic 6th-place finish in the 2025–26 Premier League season, securing European football for the first time in the club’s 127-year history and a place in the UEFA Europa League.
