Attacking cops: Man gets 1 year

A Gulf national, who reportedly attacked two police officers at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC), has been jailed for one year. The 30-year-old man, who is suffering from bipolar disorder, reportedly assaulted the two victims after they denied a woman to visit one of the patients in the hospital.
It’s said that the 30-year-old defendant was admitted to the hospital as he swooned in a local mall. His admission coincided with the woman’s visit to see a detainee, who was sleeping at the hospital, court files indicated. The man reacted angrily and attacked the police officers when they denied permission to the woman to see the patient.
