King’s visit strengthened Bahrain-UK ties: PM
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday hailed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s recent visit to the United Kingdom saying, “The visit would contribute in strengthening the friendly Bahrain-UK relations.” The Prime Minister, chairing the regular weekly Cabinet session held at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, stressed that King’s visit would open up wider horizons of bilateral cooperation.
This was announced in a post-session statement by the Cabinet Secretary-General, Dr Yasser bin Isa Al-Nasser.
The Premier also lauded the outcomes of HM King’s recent visit to Egypt and Kuwait. The Premier lauded the “constructive and fruitful” cooperation of the Legislative and the Executive Branch during the discussion of the draft law on approving the General State Budget (2019-2020), saying, “This contributed to speeding the approval of the budget and government’s efforts to implement the Fiscal Balance Programme.”
