BAC to coordinate with Ministry of Health to take preventive steps against Nipah virus (NiV)
While there are no cases or findings of Nipah virus reports in the Kingdom yet, the Bahrain Airport Company along with the Ministry of Health will be arranging the following mitigation measures at the Bahrain International Airport (BIA)
• Installation of camera scanners at level 2, 8 near
o Gate 14
o Gate 15
o Post duty free at arrivals
• Trained nurses from Ministry of Health will operate hand scanners at one of the arrival gates.
• The disease isolation room is equipped and readied to treat any suspects.
Until any further notice, all flights originating from India shall be parked on remote stands at the middle apron.
