Trap Trio Miss Individual Finals

Bahrain’s three trap shooters missed out on the individual finals yesterday as the shooting competition entered its closing stages at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.
Saeed Hasan Ali finished 28th in the men’s qualification after hitting 109 of 125 targets across five rounds. Kuwait’s Khaled Almudhaf went on to capture gold, with Chinese Taipei’s Yang Kun-Pi taking silver and China’s Qi Ying bronze.
In the women’s event, Marwa Buarki was the highest-placed Bahraini in 15th with 107 hits, while Maryam Al Sulaiti finished 24th on 104. Neither advanced to the medal round.
India’s Neeru claimed the women’s title ahead of China’s Sun Yunong and Kuwait’s Hajar Abdulmalik.
Bahrain’s attention now turns to today’s mixed trap team competition, where Ali and Buarki will join forces.
The pair begin qualification at 4am Bahrain time, with the final scheduled for 8.30am.
