HRH Highlights GCC Cooperation in Housing Sector
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with His Excellency Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the heads of delegations participating in the 24th Meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers Responsible for Housing Affairs, at Riffa Palace.
His Royal Highness affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, remains committed to supporting joint Gulf initiatives that strengthen cooperation among GCC member states and contribute to continued progress, prosperity, and growth across various sectors.
His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of continued coordination in the housing and real estate sectors, including the development of shared solutions to address challenges and support comprehensive development.
He also highlighted the second edition of the Innovation in the Social Housing Sector Conference and Exhibition 2026, held alongside the GCC housing ministers’ meeting. His Royal Highness noted its role in exchanging expertise, strengthening partnerships, and developing innovative solutions that support the sustainability of the housing and real estate sectors.
The heads of delegations conveyed the greetings of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, to His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Royal Highness extended His Majesty the King’s greetings to the GCC leaders and wished the meeting success in achieving its objectives and advancing joint Gulf efforts in the housing sector.
The Kingdom of Bahrain hosted the meeting as part of its presidency of the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the “Bahrain Summit”.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and several senior officials were also in attendance.
