Two arrested for extortion
Manama : General Director of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science yesterday announced the arrest of two men for extortion, impersonating as policemen in Ras Ruman area. The duo extracted money from people, pretending to be police personnel.
An investigation was launched shortly after the police received information about the incident and the suspects were identified, arrested and the car they used for their crimes was seized.
Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
