HM King receives Chechen President
Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov at Sakhir Palace yesterday in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
Following an official welcome to President Kadyrov, the two leaders reviewed the bilateral relations and ways to implement them in various fields, as well as the latest regional and international developments and topics of common interest.
HM the King highlighted Bahrain’s keenness on strengthening cooperation, mainly on the economic front.
President Kadyrov underlined his country’s interest in bolstering cooperation with Bahrain in various sectors, praising the Kingdom’s development.
President of Chechnya pointed out the Russian President Vladimir Putin’s respect for HM the King, wishing the people of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
Following the talks, a lunch banquet was held in honour of the Chechen President and his accompanying delegation.
The Chechen President was welcomed by Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
