Harbour Row Charity Colour Run
Manama : GFH Real Estate (GFHRE), the real estate arm of GFH Financial Group, and the Royal Charity Organisation yesterday announced the “Harbour Row Colour Run” in collaboration with the Bahrain Road Runners.
Held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation, the event is set to take place on 8 April 2017.
The 2km run will take place at GFHRE’s landmark Harbour Row development at the Bahrain Financial Harbour and will kick off at 9am.
Runners of all levels are encouraged to take part with registration proceeds going to support the development of employment opportunities for local widows in Bahrain through the Royal Charity Organisation’s “Bakery Project”.
Commenting, Majed AlKhan, CEO at GFHRE, said, “We look forward to welcoming runners and the general public to the Harbour Row and to making this run a great success for those it benefits.”
Dr Mustafa Al Sayed, Secretary General at the Royal Charity Society, added, “The Bakery Project,” which will be the beneficiary of our joint efforts, is an important one that will help to empower and employ widows in the Kingdom. We encourage everyone to come out, take part and show their support for this noteworthy cause.”
