‘Music Rain’ to honour playback singer KJ Yesudas
Manama : A grand event titled “Musical Rain Season 3” will mark the 55-year-long musical journey of Indian musician and playback singer KJ Yesudas. The programme, organised by Bigface Events, will be held today at 7pm at the Indian School ground in Isa Town.
Yesudas has recorded more than 40,000 songs in a number of Indian languages as well as Malay, Russian, Arabic and English during his career. He will be honoured by Chairman of the VKL Holdings and Al Namal Group of Companies Dr. Varghese Kurian.
Meanwhile, Dr. Kurian will receive the Business Icon Award from Yesudas on the sidelines of the event. His businesses cover real estate, property development and management, construction, health and hospitality sectors.
HRH Crown Prince’s Court President Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa, who recently received the Bahrain-Kerala Friendship award from Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, will attend the event as guest of honour, the organisers announced.
“Musical Rain Season 3” will be a star-studded crowd-puller, which is directed by singer and television host Nadhirsha. KJ Yesudas’ son and singer Vijay Yesudas, Indian playback singer Sujatha Mohan and her daughter Shweta Mohan, who is also a singer, will lead the musical programme.
The presence of Indian film actor, producer and entrepreneur Dileep, who has starred in over 130 Malayalam films, will be another attraction of the
