Warship Sabha returns after ‘Restore Hope’

 Bahraini ship ‘Sabha’ and its crew get a warm reception on the arrival after taking part in ‘Restore Hope’ mission. The reception ceremony was patronized by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa at the Royal Bahrain Naval Force (RBNF) naval base here.

 He was welcomed by RBNF Commander Commodore Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and BDF senior officers. The BDF Commander-in-Chief greeted the ship's crew and met its Captain Commander Adnan Hussain Safar and some officers.

 Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa lauded the crew's participation in the Restore Hope mission in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to respond to a request by the legitimate authority in Yemen. The ship's participation came within the framework of the joint GCC and Arab defence agreements as well as the historic brotherly ties binding the GCC and Arab countries.

 The BDF Commander-in-Chief conveyed the greetings of Bahrain leadership, lauding the courage and high competence shown by the BDF personnel in assuming their noble duty by playing a role in securing the Arab Sea zone and ensuring humanitarian aid reaches people in need of it in Yemen. He said Bahrain's participation with the Saudi-led alliance forces aimed at protecting Yemen and its government, in line with the UN resolutions, and protecting the Arab national security as well as maintaining regional stability.

 Lieutenant Nawaf Abdullatif Al Mahmood recited a poem in tribute of the BDF Commander-in-Chief marking participation in the "Decisive Storm" and "Restore Hope" operations.

 The celebration was attended by BDF Chief of Staff Major General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Logistics Rear Admiral Yousef Ahmed Malallah, Assistant Chief of Staff for Human Resources Major General Shaikh Ali bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Maintenance and Technical Supply Director Rear Admiral Mohammed Hashim Al Sada, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations Brigadier Ghanim Ibrahim Al Fadhala, BDF senior officers, Sabha crew and the officers and Commissioned Officers' families.
