Man jailed for fake bomb case
Manama : A 43-year-old man accused of placing a fake bomb has been hit with seven years in prison. The defendant is implicated in a hoax bomb case occurred on Shaikh Salman Highway on January 22 last year.
Around 20 participant took part in the event, but their identities remain unknown. The device was a cylinder connected with wires and a piece of aluminium.
The device was declared a fake bomb by bomb disposal squads, who arrived to the scene. The defendant was found implicated in the case after fingerprints lifted from the scene matched with his fingerprints.
