Joan lifts Abdulla Ali Kanoo Cup
Manama: Joan Martin (net 65) won the 48th edition of the Abdulla Ali Kanoo Cup at Awali Golf Club with over 90 golfers competing for this prestigious trophy, followed closely by runner-up Ahmed Al Noaimi (66).
First run in the 1966/67 season as the Kanoo Tournament, this competition was renamed in 2011 as the Abdulla Ali Kanoo Cup in honour of the company’s late chairman.
Ahmed Abullah Kanoo, representing the sponsor, and Bill Scarth, club captain presented the prizes before Scarth ‘rang the bell’ to celebrate his magical Hole in One on Missile Creek
hole 13.
Tournament Director was Hamad Fares Al Qutami.
